Google is working with technology companies to establish wireless networks in developing countries to connect the next billion Internet users. So a private company has a vision for a whole Continent but we have yet to hear what our Government is doing to ensure Māori better access to broadband. Sure they are talking about $30 Million (conditional) if we give up our claim to ownership of radio spectrum but no initiatives that have come by way of identifying a need and fixing through policy and funding. More do less talk.
